I swear nothing changes us the way the weather does. People think we control our routine, but the truth is how do changing seasons affect our lifestyle feels more like seasons control our dressing sense. One small change in temperature and life will start behaving differently. You do not decide to wake up late in winter but it just happens. You do not plan to eat watermelon every day in summer but your body basically begs for it during summer heat. It is funny we think we are stable and focused towards our routine. But nature has us on an invisible remote control.

Seasonal Lifestyle Adjustments

Every new season is like someone has pressed the reset button. For example, one month you will go for morning and evening walks, and in the next month you will be like,”No thanks, I am not leaving this blanket.”   This change in weather brings lots of adjustments.

Those are seasonal lifestyle adjustments, nothing dramatic, just small habits that quietly switch on their own. Like for winters, soups, sweaters and slow mornings. For summer, cold drinks, trips and late nights. For monsoon, chai memories and cozy moods. And for spring, it is cleaning, fresh starts and new hobbies.

No one sits and decides this. It just happens and we adjust without thinking. Even sometimes, grocery lists change. One season you are obsessed with spinach and the next month, you do not even look at them.

The older I get, the more I notice these seasonal habits and lifestyle shifts. Sleep patterns go up or down. Hair care routine gets changed. Skin care routines are also changed due to different weather conditions. Gym habits jump from outdoor running to indoor stretching. Food cravings basically rotate like a playlist.  And social life also changes a lot.

Summer friends will always be ready for trips. Winter friends are more focused on staying at home rather than roaming outside in cold weather. Monsoon friends will go for a movie plus tea, which is a good combination to enjoy the monsoon season. And in spring, friends  focus on changing something in life.

Life changes when the weather changes. And nobody teaches us this in school. We figure it out one season at a time.

We do not have to fight with seasons to stay disciplined. We can live better by understanding the rhythm and moving with it.
