10 Best Home Decor Blogs Right Now
I love reading blogs that give freedom to my creativity. Since we've been renting, my decorating secret is creating cute vignettes and temporary DIY projects... without moving a wall or remodeling. There is! While not all of my favorite interior design blogs are specifically aimed at renters, you can take pieces and implement them into your home.
Here are 10 great homes. Decoration blog where I always find inspiration!
1. NIST PLACE
I like Nester not only because she is Nester, but also because she is a roommate who loves where she is. They have created a beautiful home and strive for simplicity, which I love. Your solution for a tenant's kitchen backsplash is fantastic... and yes, it contains hot glue.
2. THE LETTERED COTTAGE
Kevin and Layla have such a creative passion for home living and design that it's impossible not to be inspired by them when you read their blog. They are expert stylists and I love how they add a vintage touch to every project. Using antique and unique pieces in your interior design is a great way to add personality.
3. COMPLETELY IMPERFECT
If you have a piece of furniture that needs a coat of paint but you don't know where to start, let me tell you. ..my friend Shaunna can join you right away. She inspires me to pick up a paintbrush and do it. Reading your blog inspires me to be better... a better mother, a better decorator and a braver painter.
4. CENTSATIONAL GIRL
Every time I click on Kate's blog I know I'm inspired by some beautiful eye candy. Kate has impeccable taste and a glamorous, practical style. Create beautiful furniture from the unlikeliest pieces, one-of-a-kind creations, and everyday home decor projects that anyone can do - and cook, too!
5. THRIFTY DECOR CHICK
Sarah's blog was one of the first DIY blogs I read. Needless to say, I was amazed at how many great things she manages to accomplish on a limited budget. Sarah's home has evolved and continues to evolve over the years. I love seeing the process! I'm sure reading Sarah's blog got me hooked on using spray paint.
6. DEAR LILLIE
This blog is new to me, but I love the projects and beautiful photos. I always feel inspired when I watch tutorials (many of which are renter friendly!) and take a house tour. Grab a glass of sweet tea, sit down in front of the computer, and you'll be busy poking around the house for a while!
7. LAYOUT FIELDSTONE HILL
Where to start? I love Darlene, the designer behind Fieldstone Hill Design. Not only is she the sweetest person you will ever meet, but she also has a great eye for beautiful interior design. She has an amazing portfolio full of inspiration and her “ditto” posts are my favorite. Darlene takes apart beautiful pieces step by step and shows you how to incorporate elements into your home.
8. DECOR PINTHICK!
My friend Emily is Decor Chick. I've been reading your blog for as long as I can remember... long before we became close friends. I love how you've changed your home over time. Little by little, Emily adds the pieces she loves into her home. Look what she created from a simple drawer. There isn't a shelf, but a Pottery Barn Ledge that doubles as a shelf... I loved it!
9. EMILY A. CLARK
I've been reading Emily's blog for a while now and love the decorating inspirations she shares. Her home is gorgeous with graphic patterns, dramatic colors, and practical artwork (read: her children's drawings). Share simple DIY projects and beautiful before and after photos of client spaces.

I could get lost in Young House Love for hours. John and Sherry are DIY enthusiasts who amaze me with their energy, endless creativity and decor solutions. PS And I love reading your blog because you make me laugh!
